The proposal is a non-project, legislative action to edit the 2019 Pierce County Stormwater Management and Site Development Manual (2019 PCSMSDM) to include current Gig Harbor Municipal Code Section 14.20.090. Specifically, Volume I, Section 2.4.7 Minimum Requirement #7: Flow control revise language in the Manual that will not allow development to direct discharge into saltwater bodies, unless they directly abut the Puget Sound.

Other edits will include changing text from “Pierce County” to “Gig Harbor” where referenced and changing references to Pierce County Code to appropriate Gig Harbor Municipal Code. After edits to the 2019 PCSMSDM, the revised manual will be adopted, after public comment period, as the 2023 Gig Harbor Stormwater Management and Site Development Manual (2023 GHSMSDM)

The date for the City Council public hearing on the proposed project is to be determined.  The public is invited to comment on this DNS at the public hearing, or by submitting written comments to the above address no later than 5 PM on February 10, 2023.   The deadline for appealing the final SEPA Threshold Determination is February 17, 2023
