Revisions to the Special Event Code were requested by numerous citizens over the course of 2017, after several un-permitted events took place.

The City has experienced a growing demand for use of parks by a variety of public and private organizations.  The code revisions are intended to provide specificity regarding what is lawful and unlawful in order to ensure the safety of park patrons and in order to protect individual use of parks.  

The public hearing will be held at the Gig Harbor Civic Center in the Community Rooms at 3510 Grandview Street on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 beginning at 5:30 pm.  All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and make their views known.  Written input will be received until 12:00pm on January 3rd.
