The HBZ list describes all the proposed public improvements intended to be funded in whole or in part by the Hospital Benefit Zone funds with the estimated costs for each.  This list describes the portion of the costs of each project to be borne by hospital benefit zone financing.   In addition to Hospital Benefit Zone financing these projects are also anticipated to be financed by a combination of General Fund, State Grants, Street Capital funds, Real Estate Excise Tax funds, and short-term Council bonds.  The City Council does not intend to amend the boundaries of the Hospital Benefit Zone.   The Hospital Benefit Zone financing is intended to be used in 2018 through 2028.

The first reading and public hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers located in the Gig Harbor Civic Center at 3510 Grandview Street on Monday, December 11, 2017 beginning at 5:30 pm.  The second reading and public hearing will be held on December 18, 2017 at 5:30 pm.   All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and make their views known.
