Ancich Waterfront Park Construction Update: 3-6-19 Now Open!

ANCICH PARK AND NETSHED REHABILITATION PROJECT

PROJECT UPDATE 3/5/19

Work in Progress:

Substantial completion has been issued for the project. The contractor has some minor punch-list items and corrective work to complete that are weather dependent.

Park Opening

Ancich waterfront park will be open to the public on Wednesday, March 6th. The boat storage building will remain closed to the public until the design, construction, and installation of the boat storage racks are complete.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 23rd, at 12pm.

Remaining Work and Timelines:

Minor punch-list items that are weather dependent remain.

As weather permits, asphalt pavement repair will be completed by the contractor to the west of Ancich Waterfront Park (towards Stinson Ave).

There is also a discontinuity between existing and new pavement to the east of the park (towards Novak St.). The pavement repair necessary to create a smooth transition in this location was outside of the project limits. The City anticipates making this repair with a future pavement maintenance project.
