Local Parks & Open Space

The City supports a healthy community of people through our local parks and recreation facilities. Download the Local City Parks Map to plan your next visit to the area.

All parks are open from dawn to dusk. Restrooms are on automatic timers, generally opening at 5:00 am and closing at 10:00 pm, but hours fluctuate with seasonal use.

Alcohol, smoking and dogs running at large are prohibited in City parks. Skateboards, scooters and roller skates/in-line skates are prohibited on “striped streets” within the city but allowed on sidewalks or public paths.

	Adam Tallman Park 6626 Wagner Way Passive use wildlife park with walking trails and wetlands. Interpretive signage & viewing platforms. No restrooms. On-site parking.
	Austin Estuary Park 4009 Harborview Drive Picnic table. Human-powered watercraft landing. No restrooms. Street parking only.
	BMX Park 9702 Crescent Valley Road Bike track. Sand volleyball courts. On-site parking. Restrooms and additional parking at City Park (adjacent).
	Bogue Viewing Platform 8803 North Harborview Drive Panoramic views of Mount Rainier with seating. No restrooms. Street parking only.
	City Park at Crescent Creek 3303 Vernhardson Street Covered kitchen with water, sinks, wood stove, play structure (5-12 yrs), swings, baseball field with bleachers, picnic tables, streambed viewing platforms. Power outlets. Free-standing BBQs and interpretive signage. To reserve shelter and tables call (253) 853-7638. Restrooms and on-site parking.
	Civic Center Green 3510 Grandview Street Open space lawn for informal soccer and recreation. Restrooms located at Grandview Forest Park (adjacent). On-site parking.
	Cushman Trail - paved, non-motorized trail for pedestrian and bike use. Approx. 5 miles. Reid Drive NW (14th Ave NW) to 96th Street NW. Trailhead and on-site parking at 14th Avenue NW. Restrooms, trailhead and on-site parking located at 3908 Grandview Street.
	Cushman Trailhead Park 2626 Hollycroft Street Trailhead for Cushman Trail biking and walking path. Drinking fountain and power. Restrooms. Street parking only.
	Donkey Creek Park 8714 North Harborview Drive Open space passive use park bordered by salmon-bearing Donkey Creek. Benches. Restrooms. Street parking only.
	Eddon Boat Park 3805 Harborview Drive Historic boat building, water access park. Public pier and float for 2-hr moorage, beach landing for hand-powered boats, and outdoor deck at brick house. Restrooms. Street parking only.
	Finholm View Climb 8826 North Harborview Drive & 8917 Franklin Street Panoramic views of Mount Rainier with 100 stairs that scale the hillside. Drinking fountain, seating and view landings. Restrooms. Street parking only.
	Grandview Forest Park 3488 Grandview Street Passive use wildlife park with trails next to City Hall. Benches and walking trails. Restrooms. On-site parking.
	Harborview Drive Street-End (Old Ferry Landing) 2700 Harborview Drive Landing with picnic tables overlooking the entrance of the bay with 180 degree view of the sandspit, Colvos Passage and Mount Rainier. Drinking fountain. No restrooms. Street parking only.
	Jerisich Dock 3211 Harborview Drive Dock landing, picnic tables, transient moorage for boaters and seasonal pump-out station (April 1 thru Nov 1) in the heart of downtown. 48-hour short-stay: no slips, no power, no reservations, no charge. Restrooms. Street parking only.
	Kenneth Leo Marvin Veterans Memorial Park 3580 50th Street Ct. Combined baseball/soccer field with bleachers, play structure, bike rack, drinking fountain, covered picnic area with tables, trails and open space. Restrooms. On-site parking.
	Maritime Pier 3003 Harborview Drive Pier and 12x40-ft unload/unload float for mixed use. Load/unload facility for commercial vessels. Restrooms and seating. On-site parking.
	Sand Volleyball Courts 3303 Vernhardson Street Two courts located adjacent to City Park at Crescent Creek. No reservations. Restrooms and parking at City Park.
	Skansie Brothers Park 3207 Harborview Drive Large waterfront open space, covered pavillion, historic netshed and home adjacent to Jerisich Dock. Picnic tables, power outlet and hosebibs for water. Restrooms. Street parking only.
	Skate Park 3510 Grandview Street Large concrete bowl for skaters, kids climbing wall, play structures, benches and trails. Video surveillance. Restrooms located at Grandview Forest Park (adjacent). On-site parking.
	Wilkinson Farm Park 4118 Rosedale Street 16-acre wildlife park with wetlands, holly groves, meadows, community garden and trails. Power outlets, water fountain and water hosebib. Historic homestead includes a barn, house and outbuildings that will be stablized for public access in the future. No restrooms. On-site parking.
