The Administration Department coordinates with the
City Council; manages the functions and duties of
city employees; fixes compensation and working
conditions of city employees; and maintains civil
service/merit systems and retirement/pension
systems; and supervises the collective bargaining
process.
The department oversees the adoption and
enforcement of ordinances relating to and
regulating local or municipal affairs. The
department administers local social, cultural,
recreational, educational, governmental
services, including the operation and supply of
utilities and municipal services.
The department recommends and implements the City
Council's long-range goals and short-range
objectives.
The Administration Department manages the City's
daily business. This department is the official
manager of City records, including City Council
agendas, minutes, ordinances, resolutions and
the Municipal Code. This department manages all
licensing programs.
