Judge Dunn’s experience in private practice has been in the areas of civil, criminal and appellate law.  He has appeared in all levels of court(s) in Washington, including arguments before the state Supreme Court.

Judge Dunn first came to Washington as a military dependent in 1957 when his father was stationed at Paine Air Force Base for a five-year tour of duty.  After reaching adulthood, Judge Dunn joined the United States Army, as was assigned to Fort Lewis as a Captain in the field artillery.   After completing his four year tour, Judge Dunn left the Army in 1975, making Washington his permanent home.
