Do I live in city limits?
Whether you live inside city limits or in unincorporated Pierce County determines who you will call for information and services.  Please see the Official Street Name List to determine if your address is located within city limits.  Another helpful resource is the City Map.

Can I get water or sewer to my property if I don't live in the city?
There is a process to apply for outside utilities. 

Does Gig Harbor require a business license?
If you conduct business in town for more than 30 calendar days per year, and have a physical location within city limits or a home occupation, you are required to have a city business license.  Applications are available at Business License Procedures.

What if I want to put on a Special Event in Gig Harbor?
A special event held on public property or affecting public right of way requires special consideration. The Special Occasion/Events packet will help you through the process.

What does it cost to license my pet?
The fee to license an altered dog is $7, or $5 if you are a Senior Citizen 65 or older. If the dog in unaltered, the fee is $17.  January is the time to renew your dog license. For more information go to the following page: Pet Licensing.

When are City Council Meetings held, and how do I bring an issue before the City Council?
The City Council meets every second and fourth Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the Civic Center Council Chambers. The Councilmembers may be contacted by phone, mail or e-mail. If you would like to attend a City Council Meeting, the Council Procedures will guide you through the process.
