Occupation: Dentist in General Practice in Gig
Harbor, 1980-present.
Professional Qualifications: 25 years as a
practicing Dentist and small business owner. 21 years
of combined military service – Air Force, Army and Army
Reserves. Retired at rank of Lieutenant Colonel USA.
Personal Information: Paul
was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. He enlisted in the
Air Force after high school and served in Air Weather
Service. After obtaining his undergraduate and
professional degrees, he served in the Army as a Dental
Officer. His military assignments included Galena,
Alaska; Wichita, Kansas; and Berlin, West Germany. Paul
and his wife and twin daughters came to the Northwest by
way of Ft. Lewis. In 1981 he separated from active duty,
moved to Gig Harbor and set up a dental practice. He and
his family have lived in the historic Millville district
of the city since 1983 and have been devoted to
restoring one of the old fishing family homes.
Community
Involvement: Paul served for 11 years on the Gig
Harbor Planning Commission; 9 years as chair. He was
part of the committee which established the city’s
Design Manual and served on the Design Review Board for
9 years. He has served on numerous ad hoc
committees for the city, the school district and other
community organizations. He has served on the Board of
Directors of the Pierce County Dental Society and is a
long standing member of the Chamber of Commerce.
