Personal Views: Gig Harbor is
approaching a critical crossroads. Land use
rulings, shoreline management and comprehensive plan
decisions all effect a fragile balance. Balancing
the desire for services and the desire to maintain our
unique quality of life is something that needs to be
watched very closely. I will do my best to
preserve Gig Harbor's "livability" and make it
one of my top priorities. When the scale is swayed
by Council decisions, let it sway toward responsible
development that preserves the heritage and quality of
life that we've been fortunate enough to enjoy in Gig
Harbor. I will work to involve the citizens in
every decision I make on the City Council and I look
forward to hearing from you. I welcome your
comments. |
