Human-Powered Watercraft Users Workshop - Wed., Sept. 18, 5:30-7:30 pm

This Workshop is to provide a forum for the Human-Powered User Group to come together to establish a collective message and to represent the Individual User at the upcoming City Council Listening Session on Oct. 9 at 5:30 pm.

In 2016, the City hosted an on-line survey seeking input on storage and access at Ancich Waterfront Park. The City is now working on a conceptual design for a float at the Park and is hosting a Workshop seeking input from individual users on topics related to safety, functionality, and funding. The Workshop effort will be focused on achieving consensus around the three topics to better inform the Council as they prepare to make decisions on the 2020 Budget for the City.

Workshop Details:

Who: Any individual human-powered watercraft user (not associated with a user group)

What: An interactive Workshop to hear input on topics related to water access at Ancich Waterfront Park

Where: Civic Center - 3510 Grandview Street

When: Wednesday, September 18, 2019 – 5:30–7:30 p.m. (please plan to stay for the whole timeframe)

Why: To provide input to the City to inform the conceptual design and funding in the 2020 budget cycle

How: Attendees can provide input at the Workshop in a group setting, one-on-one, through written comments, and by participating in interactive workshop activities

We look forward to hearing from you at the Workshop regarding your thoughts on activating the community storage space with water access for canoes, kayaks, and paddleboarders. Click here for a flyer announcing the Workshop.

Thank you for your continued interest in Ancich Waterfront Park.
