Vision:

Our vision for the future is a community in which every citizen understands the importance of volunteerism, values the concept, and consciously volunteers in some capacity in order to solve some of the community’s problems. The Volunteer Center will achieve this vision by launching a new initiative known as the Bogue Volunteer Center.  This initiative will focus on:

  • Service to create individual connections between people through one-to-one relationships such as mentoring.

  • Activities that will encourage people who receive services to volunteer as well so they can experience the power community service has in making a profound difference in the lives of whose who service.

  • Opportunities to bring together people in conflict--to build a base for understanding, tolerance and reconciliation.

Mission:

To inform, encourage and facilitate the participation of people in volunteer work that will result in their enjoyment of unselfish accomplishment, and make the Gig Harbor / Peninsula Area a better and more caring community.
