Council & Committee Work
Dr. Kadzik was elected to the City Council in 2006. He is a general practice dentist with an office in the area. He served on the City of Gig Harbor Planning Commission for 11 years, including 9 years as chair. He concurrently served on the Design Review Board for 11 years.
He has served on the Board of Directors of the Gig Harbor Waterfront Alliance and the Pierce County Dental Society, as well as many ad-hoc committees for the City, Peninsula School District and other community organizations. He is a long standing member of the Chamber of Commerce.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a minor in Economics from Wichita State University in 1971 and his D.D.S. from University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1975.
He served in the military for 22 years, most of which as a Dental Officer in the U.S. Army. He retired from the U.S. Army Reserves in 1991 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Paul was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He enlisted in the Air Force after high school and served in Air Weather Service. After obtaining his undergraduate and professional degrees, he served in the Army as a Dental Officer. His military assignments included Galena, Alaska; Wichita, Kansas; and Berlin, West Germany. Paul and his wife and twin daughters came to the Northwest by way of Fort Lewis.
In 1981 he separated from active duty, moved to Gig Harbor and set up a dental practice. He and his family have lived in the historic Millville district of the city since 1983 and have been devoted to restoring one of the old fishing family homes.
